I recently found my iCloud account locked due to a supposed fraud issue with my payment method linked to my App Store purchases. I've made numerous phone calls, often lasting over an hour, but I'm getting mixed information. It seems like I need to set up a new media account under my existing iCloud account, but now I can't renew my iCloud storage, putting my 2TB of data at risk. When I check 'Payments and Shipping,' it's still connected to my iCloud email, not the new media account. I have no idea why my account was locked; they've only referred me to their terms and conditions. I'm freaking out because I might lose access to my photos, files, and app data, and I don't have a compatible device to back up my 2TB of photos. Any advice on how to resolve this?

Unfortunately, there’s not much anyone can do here besides what’s outlined on Apple’s support page. If Apple has deemed your account locked, that might be it. You could consider creating a new Apple account, but I know that’s a hassle if you’re trying to recover your data. For the photos, if you don’t have any devices with enough storage, could you try borrowing someone’s device that can hold your data? That might be worth a shot if you’re stuck!

Yeah, I hear you. I’ve faced the same issue before. If you have an external hard drive, you might be able to use that with someone's computer to download your photos if you can't get your own device!
