I've worked with a couple of companies in the past year, but neither really aligned with my specialty. Now, I'm eager to dive into freelance projects that focus specifically on data analytics. I'm a bit lost on where to start my search or how to uncover these opportunities.

Have you considered Toptal? It's a platform specifically for freelancers, but it can be tough to get in.
Platforms like Upwork, Fiverr, and LinkedIn are solid starting points for finding freelance gigs. I also recommend building a small portfolio with a few data analytics projects to showcase your skills. Sharing that publicly can really help build trust with potential clients.
For data analytics gigs, in addition to Upwork and Fiverr, definitely look into LinkedIn. Make sure to optimize your profile to highlight your analytics skills, and don’t forget to network! Joining industry-specific forums or Slack groups can be helpful—they often post job leads. And if you’re prepping for interviews, check out PracHub for some handy practice!
Here's a unique approach: find a website that looks terrible or a business that doesn't even have a website. Create a mockup of what you think would improve it, then cold call them to show your work. If they’re interested, you’ve just sold them on your services. If not, tweak your work a bit and add it to your portfolio for future clients!

I had a rough experience with Upwork, though. You often have to pay to bid on jobs, and once you secure one, the clients can be demanding. They often underestimate the work involved, plus you really need to maintain a good rating to keep getting projects.
