How can I fix my DNS server not responding issue on Windows 10?

I'm having a frustrating issue with my Wi-Fi connection on Windows 10. Earlier today, around noon, my computer suddenly stopped connecting to my router, despite being configured correctly. I tried restarting my router and PC multiple times, but nothing worked. After searching online, I found some commands to run in the command prompt, and after a lot of troubleshooting, I managed to connect to the network. However, now that I'm connected, the speeds are abysmally slow - I was clocking about 200mbps at first but it quickly dropped to 30-40. My upload speed is almost non-existent. Roblox pings are even hitting 20k-30k! I've tried every fix I could find online, including turning off TCP/IPv6, but nothing seems to help. I also noticed in one thread that some Intel CPU users have similar issues. If anyone has suggestions on what I can do to resolve this, I'd appreciate it!

You might have better luck by changing your DNS server to something more reliable, like Google DNS. The addresses to use are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4. This usually helps with connection issues when the DNS server isn't responding. Just go to your network settings, click on your Wi-Fi connection, and find where you can set the DNS servers.

That sounds like a good idea! Can you explain how to do that step by step? I'm not too tech-savvy.
