I've got a hefty Acer PC, and after about 30 minutes of gaming, it turns my room into a sauna. My air conditioning isn't doing a great job since the thermostat is in another room. In the winter, I can just open my window to cool down, but that's not an option right now with the summer heat. I'm considering getting a standalone AC unit that I can vent out of my door since my window isn't suitable for any kind of installation. I'm looking for suggestions or different solutions to keep my room from overheating while gaming. Thanks!

One option is to get a box fan to improve air circulation in and out of your room. It’s also worth checking if you can upgrade your PC components to run more efficiently. As for venting an AC out your door, that might not work as well as you hope. Do your windows not open at all? There are some AC units that can fit in windows that open slightly, which could help cool the space.
The best move is to decentralize your setup. If you can’t vent the heat outside or bring in cooler air, consider moving the PC out of your room altogether. That might be the easiest fix!
I can give a box fan a shot, but I usually keep my door closed. My PC does need to run at top performance for other tasks, though, so I'm not sure how that fits in. I was even thinking of making a custom exhaust attachment to fit my portable AC under the door, but I'm not sure it's a practical idea since my window design is tricky.
