Hi everyone! I'm in Healthcare IT and I have a provider who's asking for a way to keep his Teams status set to 'Available' while he's on call. I know that Teams typically changes your status to 'Away' after a few minutes of inactivity, which isn't ideal for him. He only wants to receive Teams messages and not phone calls or pagers. I know this seems a bit unreasonable, but I'm just trying to find a solution that works for him. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Do they have Teams installed on their mobile phone? The mobile app keeps you active as long as it's on the screen, which could be a simple workaround.
Just a heads up, the app will still set you to away if it’s not open on the screen.
One quick fix could be using a mouse jiggler or a keystroke script to prevent Teams from marking you as away. It simulates activity, which might do the trick!
If they're okay with not receiving messages on their phone when away from the computer, I could share a PowerShell script that'll help with keeping the status available.
They really need to get messages on their phone too.
Yeah, they have it on their phone.
