How Can I Purchase Docker Through Azure Marketplace?

I'm struggling to procure Docker through the Azure Marketplace and I'm hoping to find someone who has navigated this successfully. Here's my situation:

- I'm part of an enterprise organization that needs to purchase Docker exclusively through the Azure Marketplace (we can't use credit cards or direct invoicing).
- We require a private offer for better procurement and cost controls.

Currently, here's what I've encountered:
- The Azure Marketplace only displays a "Subscribe" option with public PAYG pricing and doesn't show a "Request private offer" button.
- The Docker sales form just sends an automated response saying someone will get in touch, but I haven't heard from anyone since.
- I can't find a contact number for sales support in the AU/APAC region.

I've been told that a private offer might only show up after the publisher targets it to our tenant, meaning I'm stuck until Docker's sales team engages—if they ever do.

I'm trying to avoid:
- Clicking "Subscribe" and getting locked into PAYG pricing.
- Paying by credit card only to deal with conversion later (my finance team would not be happy).

So, I have a few burning questions:
- Has anyone actually succeeded in purchasing Docker through Azure Marketplace?
- Did you go through Docker directly, Microsoft, or a reseller?
- Is there some secret way to escalate this with Microsoft, or are options limited if you don't have an account team at Docker?

I'm fine with jumping through hoops, but I need to know which hoops I should be looking for! Any insights based on real experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I hear you on needing to secure that private offer. Head to your finance department and ensure they've got all the documentation for why you need Docker and how it fits into your budget. That could make it easier to get an exception or even push for direct contact with Docker's sales team.

Just a side note—when I hit walls like this, I usually escalate things through Microsoft support directly. It can take a bit of patience, but you might actually get someone who can push for a solution. Otherwise, if it's urgently needed, maybe look into alternatives until you're set up?

I get your frustration! Buying Docker seems a bit convoluted at the moment. From what I understand, most people have had to fill out the contact form on Docker's site, but it's often a waiting game. You might also want to check if there are any local resellers that could help expedite the process. Just be persistent in following up!

Great advice! I've been thinking about checking out some alternatives too. It might save us a lot of hassle.
