I recently built a new PC and need some help. My system is pretty loud, and I think the fans are the main culprit. The temperature sits around 37°C to 42°C, and I'm wondering how much I can increase the temperature to reduce the noise. I'm not sure if the CPU or GPU is responsible for the noise, or if it's both.
Additionally, I've heard that undervolting my 5090 is a good idea. Is there a specific guide I should follow? This would be my first time trying to undervolt anything, and I have a 5090 Windforce OC, an MSI motherboard, and I'm using an Arctic Liquid Freezer 3 for cooling.

If you're unsure which fan is causing the noise, try using fan control software like FanControl. You can adjust fan speeds individually and set up a custom fan curve. It's also worth attempting to undervolt the GPU; you can start with presets from others and then refine based on your own tests.
What's the temp like while gaming? 42°C is pretty chill, almost idle temps. YouTube is full of guides on undervolting, especially with MSI Afterburner. It's best not to just copy someone else's settings; a good video will show you how to adjust the settings and test for stability. I benchmarked mine with Monster Hunter: World's benchmark (but note, this may not be available anymore) for stability. It just takes a bit of trial and error, tweaking settings, testing, and repeating until you dial it in.
I couldn't find the MHW benchmark, it seems removed. I ended up using Oblivion Remastered instead, and temps were 48-52°C while exploring. I think the noise is from the cooling ramping up too much with small temp increases.

Could you share an example of a solid fan curve? What should be the minimum and maximum fan speeds?
