Hi everyone! I have my PC set up in one room and a TV in another, and I'm looking for a way to stream my PC's display to the TV. WiFi works for movies, but the latency is too much for anything interactive. Running an HDMI or DisplayCable would be a hassle because the distance is just too long. However, I do have Ethernet ports from my router to both locations. Is there a way to utilize the Ethernet connection to stream my display from the PC to the router and then to the TV? I'm really new to this, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

If your TV is smart, you can just install Moonshine and Apollo! You can even plug a controller directly into the TV for a seamless gaming experience. I’ve streamed 4k with almost zero latency using a regular gigabit connection, and you can find guides online that help set everything up easily.
Definitely check out Apollo + Moonshine! I game in 4k over a 1-gigabit connection with barely any latency, and it works like a charm. Just make sure to look up some tutorials—they’ll be super helpful!
Amazon has Ethernet to HDMI adapters that work perfectly for connecting PCs to TVs! You'll need a pair: one for sending the signal and one for receiving it. It’s affordable, and I’ve had great success with mine. Here's one I recommend: "Wiistar HDMI to RJ45 Extender"—it’s around $16!
You can definitely find adapters that convert Ethernet to HDMI! I personally use Apollo with Moonlight to stream my PC, and the latency is super low—hardly noticeable during gaming. If you have a compatible TV, give that a shot first before investing in any adapters!
It depends on your TV model and cable specifics, but you have options. If you're still using standard streaming software, consider trying better options that reduce latency. Alternatively, HDMI over Cat6 extenders could be the way to go if your setup allows for it.
