I recently transferred a bunch of large files from my iPhone to my iPad, and now I'm running into storage issues. I want to move those files off my iPad onto a PC, but I'm not sure how to do it. I've tried using a cable to transfer files to my friend's iPhone, but it only works in that direction. So, can I transfer files to a PC? How quickly can I expect that to happen? Once they're on the PC, will I be able to send them back to my iPad or iPhone? Also, some of the files are videos—will transferring them affect their quality?

For direct network transfer, you can use apps like AirDrop or any file-sharing service if both devices are on the same network. As for a flash drive, yes, if you get a typical USB drive and an OTG adapter to switch to USB-C, you can transfer files to the flash drive from the iPad and then plug it into your PC. However, make sure to check the speed of the flash drive—sometimes they can be slow depending on the model.

You can definitely transfer files from your iPad to a PC. If you have a USB-C connection on both devices, a USB-C flash drive is your best bet—it’s pretty straightforward. If not, you might want to consider using cloud storage or transferring files over your local network. Generally, using a flash drive will be the fastest method, followed by network transfers, and lastly, cloud storage.
