We're facing a challenge with our staff who are resistant to using their personal phones for work-related two-factor authentication (2FA). As many services now mandate 2FA, we're looking for alternatives to use authenticator apps without requiring the staff to rely on their smartphones. Is there a way to run an authenticator app on an Android emulator, or can you suggest other options for implementing 2FA that don't involve personal devices?

We use Bitwarden for TOTP. For those who really resist using their phones, you could consider distributing physical TOTP tokens.
You might want to check out KeePass; I've been using it for work-related 2FA lately. It's pretty reliable for managing authenticator functions.
Yubikey is another great option, though I've seen cases where employees have had no issues using Microsoft Authenticator on their phones. If you’re looking for alternatives, this could work well.
1Password also has a feature where it can store and generate TOTP codes. It includes a neat QR code scanner for setup, which could be very convenient.
