How do I change the default network on my Virtual Machine?

Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my Virtual Machine settings. I thought I had deleted the default virtual network when I created my first VM, but I apparently didn't. Now, when I try to switch the network on my offline VM, I only see the default subnet available in the network settings. I really want to connect it to a subnet from a new virtual network that I created manually. I've attempted to detach the NIC first, but the option is greyed out. Can anyone guide me on the right procedure to achieve this?

You need to remove the NIC from the VM before you can change the network settings. Go to the settings of your VM and look for the 'Networking' tab. From there, try to detach the NIC, and make sure your VM is completely powered off. If the detach option is greyed out, double-check if any additional permissions are needed on your account or check for any pending operations that might be locking the network interface.

Thanks for the tip! I tried to select detach, but it's still greyed out for me. I think I might be missing a step. Any additional advice?
