I just built a new PC, but I mistakenly installed Windows on my HDD instead of my SSD. What steps can I take to correct this issue? Should I do a clean install or is there a better method?

If Windows is fresh, the easiest way to fix this is to simply do a clean install on your SSD. You won’t have to worry about transferring files or settings since it's a new setup.
You could also use a USB with some imaging software like Rescuezilla to create an image of your HDD and then restore it onto your SSD. Just make sure both drives are large enough for this.
Like others mentioned, just reinstall on the correct drive. You don’t usually need to access BIOS for installation, but if you're confused during boot-up, that could be due to how your system is set up.
Honestly, if it's just a recent installation, I'd recommend reinstalling Windows directly on the SSD. Use the Windows 11 media creation tool, boot from the USB, and delete the partitions on both drives. Just make sure you select the SSD for the install!
Check if your SSD manufacturer offers any free cloning software to help transfer Windows from your HDD to SSD. Brands like Samsung and Western Digital provide this option and it can be quite useful.
