How do I set up PaperCut for printing in a small school?

Hey everyone! I'm working at a small school and we're planning to upgrade our printing setup with PaperCut. A tech from another school mentioned that they use a free PaperCut account which allows all their Chromebooks and other devices to print seamlessly. However, I noticed that the free version only allows 5 users, which isn't enough for us. Could anyone provide guidance on how to get started with this? Any tips or resources would be really appreciated. Thanks!

PaperCut is known for its great support, but be aware that the full service requires payment. If your school has a tight budget, investing in the paid version might be worth it—as it'll provide better support and features. Just keep that in mind when planning your setup!

They're likely referring to Mobility Print, which is a free option that enables printing from Chromebooks and personal devices through a print server. Both Chromebooks and Windows have apps for it, while Macs can connect via the usual settings. It’s a good alternative if you're looking for something that won’t break the bank.

You can also consider using a Raspberry Pi as a print server—it's cheap and can be set up for that purpose. However, it might not be the most reliable option. Just think about your school’s printing needs when deciding on your solution!
