How Powerful Will My New PC Build Be for Gaming and Blender?

I'm new to PC ownership and am in the process of buying my parts. I've scored a free 32GB DDR5 RAM, which is my first purchase. I've lined up all my components but haven't paid for them yet, just waiting for the paycheck. I ran my build through PC Part Picker to make sure everything is compatible.

I'm curious to know how powerful my setup will be overall. I'm primarily focused on gaming, but I'll also be using Blender for my second year at university. Here's what I've got planned for my build:

- Crucial DDR5 32GB RAM
- AMD Ryzen 7 7700X Processor
- Crucial T710 2TB SSD
- MSI GeForce RTX 5070 Graphics Card
- MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 Power Supply
- MSI B650 Motherboard

I have a PC case with 3 installed fans and I'm considering adding 2 water cooling fans. I've got a monitor, but it's only 200Hz, and I might look into getting a better one later. What kind of performance can I expect in terms of frames, speed, and image quality?

Your setup looks pretty solid! It’s going to handle 1440p gaming without breaking a sweat. Expect great performance, especially at 1080p. You'll be able to max out most games smoothly.

Awesome to know, thank you!

You’ve got an excellent build for 1080p gaming and decent performance at 1440p. Just a tip: check out rtings.com for monitor choices. Refresh rates above 120Hz won’t make much difference. It's more about response time!

Thank you! Do you have an estimate on frames for both 1080p and 1440p? I'm focused on competitive shooters, and if my frame rate is good enough, I'm definitely considering a better monitor.
