I'm taking care of a man who was able to beautifully format his writing in Microsoft Word using 'immersive reader mode.' However, when I switch out of this mode, the formatting gets completely messed up. I tried saving it as a PDF for printing, but it still looks off. Is there a way to print it directly from the laptop, or any other method to keep it looking good when printed? He doesn't have his own printer, which is why we haven't directly printed from his 2015 laptop. Any help would be appreciated, as he's feeling quite upset about this situation.

Just a heads-up: immersive view works like a webpage, and it may not print as sharply as you’d like. But using screenshots can help maintain the layout when printed!
That sounds really frustrating! I’d suggest opening the document, switching off immersive view, and reformatting it from scratch to get it ready for printing. There could be hidden characters, extra spaces, or weird tabs messing things up. Make sure to turn on 'show hidden characters' while you're at it!
I’m not too familiar with immersive view myself, but you could try copying the text over to Notepad and saving it as a .txt file. Then, do a search and replace to remove any weird formatting or extra spaces. Just keep in mind this might lose some images.
What about taking screenshots of the document and printing those? It might not be perfect, but at least it could keep the look of what he created.
