I'm currently working at an IT firm, and one of our clients, an insurance company, recently switched from sharing documents on a file server to SharePoint. However, whenever a user uploads a document, it saves the local path (e.g., C:usernameOneDrive - CompanyShared), which isn't accessible by other users. I'm trying to find a way to create a network drive that points to the OneDrive path or the SharePoint URL. So far, I've only managed to create a symbolic link to the OneDrive folder, but it feels messy.
To clarify, I need a solution that enables each user to have a mapped network drive corresponding to the same shared folder in their OneDrive. The application requires a local file path, so I'm looking for a clean and generic way to set this up, incorporating environment variables like %USERNAME% into the path.

Have you thought about using a shared document list in SharePoint that syncs with OneDrive? The software could then be configured to save to that sync location on each computer. It might take some adjusting, but it seems like a straightforward solution.
