How Worried Should I Be About My HDD Health?

I recently ran into some issues with my HDD where my Argus software flagged it for health problems. I decided to check it out further by using the Seagate software for my Barracuda drive, but it threw up an error. Argus provided a more detailed breakdown than SeaTools and noted that certain sectors are concerning. Since this drive is primarily for media storage, it's not an emergency yet, but I'd like to know what to expect and if I should be worried.

Yeah, it sounds like your HDD is starting to fail. You should definitely consider getting a replacement and start transferring your stuff over before more data gets affected. The good thing is, since it's not your OS drive, you won’t have to deal with that hassle right now.

Yeah, it’s wise to back things up! This drive's getting old, so moving your data to a new one is a smart move.

Make sure to double-check the health status using CrystalDiskInfo. It can give you a clearer picture of how bad things really are.

Think about how much trouble you'd be in if your drive died tonight. If you can get a new drive and install Windows while recovering your data from backups, then you’re all good! But if you don’t have backups yet, check out the 3-2-1 backup method and start working on that immediately!

I just did a backup for my important files, but I'll start looking for a replacement anyway since I still have some games on there.
