Hi everyone, I'm just getting back into PC gaming and I'm feeling a bit lost! My current setup includes an Intel i5 7400 CPU, 8GB of RAM, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super. I'm primarily playing Arc Raiders, but the game runs really choppy for me. I've noticed that when I'm idling in a match, my CPU usage hits 100% and my RAM sits around 90%. I was thinking about upgrading my RAM to 16GB, but I'm not sure if I need a new CPU as well. Would upgrading just the RAM help, or is it better to do both? Any advice would be appreciated!

Your CPU is definitely holding you back, but upgrading it on the same platform might not be worth it. I recommending picking up 16GB of DDR4 RAM; it usually runs around 2400 MHz and is pretty affordable on platforms like eBay. This should provide a noticeable improvement!

I found some 16GB sticks on Amazon for about 165 Canadian. Do you think that's a good buy?
