Internet Issues After Manually Fixing Laptop Time

I'm having trouble with my laptop's internet connection. It connects to the network but shows no internet access, while other devices work just fine. This started when my laptop battery died overnight. After charging it, I noticed the clock was stuck at 5 AM, so I manually corrected the time. However, I still can't get online. I attempted a network reset, but that didn't help either. Since syncing the time needs an internet connection, I'm stuck in a bit of a mess. Can anyone help me out?

After you set the time, did you give your laptop a reboot? Sometimes a simple restart can help clear up issues like this.

Yes, I rebooted it after setting the time.

Just a heads-up: while you corrected the time, make sure the date is also correct. A dead CMOS battery can cause your laptop to lose track of the year, which can lead to internet issues until it syncs with a server.

The date was correct, and the issue is solved now! I ended up reverting the system to a restore point.
