Hey everyone! I've been using iPhones for about 10 years but usually stick to models a few years behind. Recently, I upgraded from my trusty iPhone XR 128GB to an iPhone 12 with just 64GB. It seemed like a good deal at the time, but I'm really struggling with the limited storage. I've had it for just six weeks, and I'm constantly getting notifications that I'm out of space. My phone is practically unusable—can't take screenshots, can't copy/paste, and apps crash. Right now, here's a quick breakdown of my storage: Videos - 509, Photos - 5,689, total photos = 10.31GB, 35 apps, and only 76.7MB left. The system data is taking up 25.86GB! I've dealt with storage issues before, but this is the worst it's ever been. I can't afford a new phone, and I really need some genuine advice on what I can do. Thanks! By the way, I'm currently trying to upload a lot of data to a 1TB external hard drive, but I'm having trouble with the transfer. Hoping to sort that out soon!

The best workaround might be to save your photos and videos on a cloud service or directly to your external drive. That way, you can free up a lot of space quickly!
Honestly, a 64GB phone will always run into storage issues, especially with all those photos and videos! You might want to start deleting stuff that you really don’t need. I found syncing with a Mac helps clear up a lot of hidden data or caches too. Good luck!
Yeah, managing storage on a 64GB phone is a challenge! You might want to think about deleting any apps that you rarely use, too. They can take up a surprising amount of space!
If possible, really consider offloading what you can. With 64GB, you just have to manage your media more diligently. It's tough, but you'll thank yourself later!
I’ve already deleted a ton of stuff, but I’m still so full! I guess I might have to get more aggressive with it.
