iPhone 16 Pro Overheating and Going into SOS Mode?

Hey everyone! I've been experiencing a strange issue with my new iPhone 16 Pro. Whenever I'm outside or in the car, where it tends to get warm, my phone starts losing service and switches to SOS satellite mode. I'm planning to visit the Apple Store soon, but I wanted to check in with you all first. Has anyone else faced this problem? Do you think it's related to my carrier or is there a defect with the device? I'd really appreciate your insights. Thanks!

It sounds like your phone might be overheating due to the weather. Can you tell me what the temperature was like when this happened? Usually, if it's too hot in the car, especially if it's direct sunlight, or if you're running demanding apps like a navigation tool, it could push the phone over the edge. Just curious if you noticed anything specific that triggered it!

The outside temp was around 88°F, and I had the AC on. I was just taking photos, but the phone heated up in my hands and immediately went to SOS mode. I had a 13 Pro before this without any issues, so I'm surprised.
