I'm planning an upgrade for my PC, switching from a Ryzen 5 3600X with an RTX 2060 to a Ryzen 7 5800X and an RX 6800XT. I currently have a 650W power supply unit. Do you think that's enough power for the new components, or should I consider getting a stronger one?

AMD actually recommends a minimum of 750W for the RX 6800XT to avoid system shutdowns during those spikes in power draw. So, I'd definitely consider getting a stronger PSU if you want a more stable experience.
While 650W might work, a 750W PSU is generally recommended. This is because power spikes can push the demand over 650W momentarily, which might lead to crashes. Undervolting your components could save you from needing to upgrade, though!
You should be good with 650W, but just to give context: the RX 6800XT pulls about 200-300W during gaming, while the R7 5800X uses around 50W. If you're worried, you can always undervolt for some extra headroom!
How old is your current PSU? A quality one should work fine if it’s less than 10 years old, but I've seen issues with older or unknown brands, even at 650W. Also, check if it has enough connectors for your new GPU!

That makes sense! Just keep an eye on temps and performance to make sure everything runs smoothly.
