I'm putting together a new PC and I'm wondering if a 700W power supply unit will be sufficient for my setup. Here are my specs: Ryzen 9 7900X, RTX 5070, 32GB DDR5 RAM, Aorus motherboard, 1TB SSD, and 10 cooling fans. Will 700W be enough to handle everything safely?

You'll definitely be fine with a 700W power supply; that should cover everything without any issues.

Remember, the wattage of the PSU isn't the only factor you should consider. Look at the certification level too—Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, etc. The tier matters based on user benchmarks. For your build, I'd recommend an A+ or A tier PSU. Brands like the Corsair RM series are solid options.

I’m not too familiar with PSUs yet, I actually got this one from my brother.

It might work, but I’d suggest going for an 850W just to give you extra headroom, especially if you plan to upgrade in the future.

You should be good with a 700W PSU. Your CPU draws a maximum of about 200W, while your GPU is around 260W at peak. That leaves plenty of power for the rest of your components.
