Is an OC Version Graphics Card Worth It Compared to Standard Ones?

I just got a GTX 1650 Super OC version from a friend, and I've heard that these 'OC' cards are factory overclocked and usually a bit pricier than the standard versions. Can I just plug it in and enjoy a 2-3% FPS boost, or is there something more I need to do to get the best performance?

Just so you know, the factory overclock is usually pretty minor. You might actually get better results by buying a non-OC card and overclocking it yourself.

You don't need to do anything special! The card comes overclocked right out of the box, so just install it and start gaming.

Yeah, they're a bit overclocked, but honestly, the performance won't be drastically different from the non-OC. If you're on a budget, the Founders Edition (FE) at MSRP could give you better bang for your buck.

That's right! It’s factory overclocked, but you could also push it a bit further if you're feeling adventurous.

The FPS boost might only be around 1-2%, honestly. But keep in mind that OC versions are usually better for manual overclocking than the non-OC ones. Just keep an eye on temps if you decide to push it!

I had a different experience with a factory OC card—it didn't seem to hold up as well. Just goes to show it can vary by model!
