We've got over 50 Dell 5040 machines that started freezing about five minutes into boot this week. After some troubleshooting, it seems like reinstalling Crowdstrike resolves the issue. It looks like a memory scan or something kicks in right after that time, causing the whole system to lock up and become unresponsive. I'm surprised there isn't more buzz about this, as usually with standardized equipment and software, if one organization faces an issue, others would too. We began receiving reports on Wednesday morning. We're running Windows 10 LTSC 1809/1806.

We use Dell and Crowdstrike too, and we haven’t seen this issue. Just a heads up, Wednesday was right after Patch Tuesday. Are you deploying Windows updates immediately upon release? That could make Crowdstrike go into RFM mode as it waits for approval on those updates.
We’re noticing crashes and blue screens with the 7450 models too. Still running tests, but we have been applying bios updates to see if it helps.
What version of Windows are you running on those machines?
We’re on Windows 10 LTSC 1809/1806.
We've had similar reports about system freezes, but on Dell 7540 laptops and HP Z2-G4 workstations. What led you to think Crowdstrike was the culprit?

We don’t push updates right away. Interestingly, reinstalling or even removing Crowdstrike hasn’t solved the problem for everyone. This is turning out to be quite a strange situation.
