Is Anyone Else Experiencing Issues After the Microsoft Outage?

I'm really anxious right now. We lost access to email for most of our main tenant domain accounts around 12:30 PM, and by 4 PM CST, we found that many accounts had unexpectedly switched to another domain. Both the Director of IT and I could log in using this alternative domain without issues. Currently, I can't get delta sync from our on-prem AD DC, and my Microsoft 365 tenant is still having the same problems. It's frustrating because there's no information coming from Microsoft about this situation. Are we the only ones facing these issues?

We manage hundreds of M365 tenants, and I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue today. It doesn't sound like a widespread outage; it seems more like someone changed a setting specific to your tenant. You might want to check the Purview portal for some audit logs that could shed some light on what happened.

The fact that your accounts switched to another domain raises some red flags; it might be worth considering the possibility of a security breach. Have you reached out to Microsoft support about this? They might be able to help clarify the situation.

Just a heads up, some users have mentioned similar sudden domain switches affecting their logins and sync. So it seems like you're not alone in this. Keep an eye on the admin center for updates.

Best part about cloud services, right? You can just kick back and let them handle the fixes. Nothing you can do but wait it out.
