Hey everyone! I wanted to reach out and see if anyone else is dealing with issues related to DHCP following the latest security updates for Windows Server. Our security team flagged some serious problems that came with patches KB5061010, KB5060531, KB5060526, and KB5060842. The main issues include the DHCP service freezing or crashing, clients having trouble renewing IP addresses, and experiencing random network disconnections. One admin mentioned that after installing the update, the server just goes silent after about 30 seconds. This problem seems to affect various Windows Server versions including 2016, 2019, 2022, and even 2025. Microsoft is aware of the issue and is working on a fix, but for now, they suggest rolling back the patch and rebooting if you encounter service failures. Has anyone experienced this? Is uninstalling the patch the best option, or does anyone have a safer workaround? Thanks!

I manage two DHCP servers, one standalone and another that's on a DC, both running 2016. So far, no issues at all. Must be luck, I guess!
I've got Server 2019 up and running, serving three scopes, and everything's fine on my end! Keeping an eye out, though.
I'm on Server 2019 and haven't run into this issue...yet. I know things can change quickly, so keeping my fingers crossed!
Is your DHCP server set up on a domain controller? I've heard some people mention that only non-DC servers are facing trouble.
Running both Server 2019 and 2016 with DHCP failover. We've had no problems so far either. Maybe it's hit or miss for some setups?
Using Server 2022 and haven't noticed any problems. Though, to be fair, we’re in summer (K12), so not as many users online right now.
Server 2003 here, and everything's running smooth! Guess you never know with these updates.
