Is DFS-R a Good Option for Failover File Servers?

I've got a massive 40TB file server and we're looking to set up a failover to another site. Is using DFS-R a smart move for this situation? The plan is for everyone to primarily use server A, but in case it goes down, they would then switch to server B.

We use DFS replication between two production sites, and honestly, it works pretty smoothly. When our primary file server goes down, it only takes about 20 seconds for clients to switch over to the secondary server. Having a dedicated 10G fiber connection with low latency probably helps a lot with that!

Interesting! Are there any specific rules in place to manage the failover between the two sites?
