I've recently started using Windows 11, and I've noticed that right after booting up, it's using about half of my RAM—even when no applications are open. Is this typical behavior for Windows 11, or could something be wrong with my setup?

There might be some background processes using memory as well. Have you checked Task Manager? Sometimes, there are apps running that you might not notice that could be taking up RAM.
It's totally normal for Windows 11 to use a good chunk of RAM right from the start. The system caches data to speed things up when you open apps later. They say 'empty RAM is wasted RAM.' If you're running something demanding, don't worry—Windows knows how to free up RAM when you actually need it. It's all part of the design!
What about your startup programs? Sometimes apps running on startup can eat up memory without you realizing it. Took me a while to figure that out! Maybe double-check that?
