Is It Just Me, or Is USB File Transfer Getting Harder?

I've been having trouble transferring files from my Android phone to my laptop using a USB cable. It seems like it always disconnects, which wasn't an issue in the past. I could transfer large files of 1-5 GB without interruptions. Now, it disconnects every 10 minutes or so. I'm wondering if my phone is getting too old, or if there's something else going on. Has anyone else faced this problem?

It sounds like your cables or ports are getting worn out. Trust me, there's no big tech conspiracy here! Just bad connections can mess things up, lol.

You might just need a new USB cable. They can wear out over time and cause connectivity issues. It's worth trying a different one to see if that helps!

Have you considered that using a different cable might be the solution? It's more likely that your cable is faulty than any kind of conspiracy against USB usage. Nowadays, many people use wireless file transfers, but USB remains essential for updates and repairs. So, manufacturers definitely haven't phased it out.

I get that! Sometimes, older devices or worn cables can act up. Also, recent Android updates have changed how file transfers work, which can add to the frustration.

Right? Plus, if your company's phone isn't allowing file transfers at all, that just complicates everything!
