I'm having a bit of a concerning issue with my RTX 5070 video card. Each time I shut down my computer, I notice a small spark coming from the area where the power cables connect to the card. It's pretty noticeable and only happens during the shutdown process. I'm wondering what could be causing this—could it be normal coil whine, faulty power supply cables, arcing due to a loose connection, or something more serious? Is there a risk of damaging my GPU or other components over time? Has anyone else experienced this with their 5070 or another modern NVIDIA card? I'd really appreciate any advice you could share!

It sounds like your power cable might not be fully seated. But since you only see this during shutdown, maybe it happens more often but is hidden by RGB lights? Just an idea!
Make sure to check your cables for any signs of bending or damage. That could cause issues, including the sparking you're seeing.
When you say sparks, are you sure it’s not just the LED lights? Sometimes, they can look a bit flashy when the power cuts off. Just a thought!
Nope, definitely sparks!

Yeah, it’s literally only when I turn it off.
