I found a file called pagefile.sys while using TreeSize Free, and it's taking up about 17GB of space. I don't really see why it should be there, so can I delete it?

Nope, you definitely shouldn't delete pagefile.sys. It's essential for Windows when your system runs low on RAM. If you're looking to save space, you can adjust its size in the settings instead of deleting it altogether.
Windows will usually block you from deleting it since it's vital for extending RAM when needed. But if you're interested in adjusting its size, I can share a link to a how-to guide! Just note that you'll need to make some tweaks in settings.
Pagefile.sys acts as virtual RAM and comes in handy when your physical RAM is used up. If you're keen on reducing its size, check out the guide I found. Just remember, Windows won't let you delete it directly!
