Is it safe to take my Nothing Phone 3A underwater in a pool?

Hey folks, I recently got a Nothing Phone 3A and I'm curious about its water resistance capabilities. Can I safely take it with me into a swimming pool and submerge it? I've heard that some phones are water-resistant, but I'm not entirely sure about this model. Also, could the chlorine in pool water potentially damage it even if it's rated for water resistance? I'm also wondering if using it in the shower is a good idea. Any experiences or insights would be appreciated! Thanks!

The Nothing Phone 3A has an IP64 rating, which means it's protected against dust and can handle water splashes but isn’t meant for underwater use. While quick accidental submersion might not wreck it, I wouldn’t recommend making a habit of it. Better safe than sorry!

Even with water resistance, you shouldn't intentionally submerge your phone. Assessments of water resistance are often for accidental spills, not for pool dives. Is there a particular reason you want to expose it to water?
