I'm exploring a career shift into Azure Data Factory (ADF). I have intermediate skills in SQL Server, SSRS, and SSIS. I'm considering certifications in ADF, but I'm also anxious about AI potentially taking over jobs at all levels in the tech field. Should I go for these certifications? How imminent is the risk of AI affecting job availability in this space?

With your background in SSIS, pursuing ADF certifications could definitely be beneficial since there's still a demand for ADF skills. However, it might also be wise to learn tools like Databricks and Python, as they are gaining traction too. And while AI is changing the landscape, data engineers will still be needed to manage quality data, which is crucial for AI projects.
ADF is a solid choice—it’s a mature tool that's still widely in use, although it mainly gets maintenance updates now. I'd suggest checking out Microsoft Fabric as it’s where the latest innovations are happening. Databricks is worth considering too for a broader skill set, but you'll need to go for certifications through them directly.

Thanks! Between Fabric and ADF, which one do you think I should focus on learning first?
