I've been using a 256 GB SATA SSD for my OS and it's been fine, but I recently got a 1 TB NVMe SSD. Since my SATA SSD only has the OS, I'm wondering if I should transfer it to the NVMe. I've heard some mixed opinions about keeping the OS on a separate drive, and I'm concerned about potential issues. What do you all think?

Honestly, it won't make much noticeable difference day-to-day. If your system is running fine, just stick with what you've got for now!
If your current setup is booting up quickly from the SATA SSD, you might not see a big difference moving to the NVMe. But when you do decide to reinstall, it makes sense to transfer it then for the speed boost! No rush if you're satisfied now.
In my opinion, starting fresh is always the best approach! Unplug your SATA SSD, install Windows on the NVMe, then plug the SATA back in to transfer any files you need. That way you ensure a clean setup.
That idea about keeping the OS on a separate drive is outdated! Your OS should definitely be on the fastest drive. Moving your OS to the NVMe is a good call without any real downsides for most users.
Absolutely! Your boot drive should always be on the fastest SSD you have. It’ll help speed everything up, so go for it!
