Hey everyone! I'm new to the PC gaming scene and just upgraded my RAM from 16GB to 32GB. I'm not sure if I should sell my old 16GB DDR4 RAM, which I've only had for about a year. Does the fact that it's still somewhat new make it more valuable? Or should I just toss it? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Definitely don’t throw it away! Keeping that RAM can be useful down the line for troubleshooting or if you want to build a budget PC for a friend. As for selling, it’s up to you whether it’s worth your time, but you could easily find someone looking to buy it for a decent price.
It all depends on how you value your time. For 16GB of DDR4, you might get $30-40 if you're lucky, but I think most people will offer less since new 32GB kits are pretty cheap these days. Personally, I’d hold on to it in case you need extra RAM later.
You could sell it, and Facebook Marketplace is a great place to do that. Just don’t throw it out; you never know when you might need it again!
I’d say go ahead and sell it! RAM usually doesn't go bad, plus it's still in demand even though DDR5 is coming out. But just keep in mind that the value might drop a bit as more DDR5 parts hit the market.
