Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice on whether my friend's suggestion for upgrading my gaming PC is a sensible one. I mainly want a stable 60fps at 1080p and a build that's energy-efficient. My budget is around $1,000 or 950€. I'm currently in Poland and here's my existing setup: I've got an Intel Core i3-10100F CPU, an XFX Radeon RX 6600 XT GPU, 16GB of DDR4 RAM, and the rest of my components are solid but relatively standard.
My friend recommended I switch out my CPU for an Intel Core i5-14400F, upgrade to a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 5060 Ti GPU, double my RAM to 32GB DDR5, and get a new motherboard and a 750W power supply. But I'm a bit skeptical, especially since I'm leaning towards AMD now due to some driver issues I've had. What do you think? Is this upgrade a good direction, or should I consider other options?

I’d consider your power supply, but if it’s good, it should handle the 14400F and 5060 Ti just fine. Just make sure not to run with a single stick of RAM because that halves your performance! Also, I'm curious about your PSU model since there are both Bronze and Gold versions of the NZXT 650, but either should be okay. Just double-check the details!

Good catch on the RAM! I didn't realize I needed two sticks; I’ll fix that up.
