A few days ago, I accidentally dropped my laptop at work from about 2-3 feet. Luckily, it fell onto a carpeted floor, so there was no major impact. It fell upright, so there are no visible dents or damage. When I picked it up, the screen had turned black and started glitching for a few seconds before the laptop restarted itself and seemed fine. I've been monitoring it since then, checking for any issues like slowness or battery problems, but everything seems to be working normally. I heard I could use HD Tune to check its health, but my workplace doesn't allow downloading applications. Should I be worried about potential damage or just keep being careful?

Unless it landed on something really hard or a plugged-in cable, it’s probably fine. Most laptops these days have SSDs, so they’re way less prone to damage from drops than older models.
It's likely all good! Instead of trying to download random software for health checks, just hand it over to your IT. They'll know what to look for, but if it's working fine now, chances are you’re in the clear. I've been around computers for decades and occasional drops aren’t usually a big deal.
I wouldn't sweat it too much. If it’s working fine now, just keep using it and be careful. I’ve dropped laptops before too and they've been just fine.
You should definitely mention this to your IT department. It’s helpful to have someone check it out. I’ve seen it happen a lot at work; sometimes things need to be reseated after a drop, and it’s better to be safe than sorry later on.
Just be aware that if your laptop is fairly modern, it’s unlikely anything major happened. If it was a mechanical hard drive, that’d be a concern, but SSDs are pretty resilient.

Yeah, I plan to do that. Just waiting until after the weekend! Thanks for the reminder!
