Is My R7 2700X Compatible with A520M-A II Motherboard?

I've been using my AMD Ryzen 7 2700X with an A520M-A II motherboard for about 4-5 years now without any issues. Back when I built my system, I thought that being "Ryzen 5000 ready" meant any earlier Ryzen chip would work fine. However, I've recently learned that my motherboard technically doesn't support my CPU, as it only officially supports 3000 series processors and newer. Despite this, everything has been functioning well. Should I consider replacing my motherboard since my setup isn't technically compatible, or is it okay to leave things as is?

If it’s working fine, I’d say leave it alone. There's no point in changing the motherboard just for compatibility's sake. Instead, you might want to save your cash and think about upgrading to a Ryzen 5 5600 later on, since it's about the same price as a new motherboard.

Got it, I’ll hold off on that! By the way, I have a 2070 Super GPU, and I don’t notice any bottlenecking. Do you think it’s still worth upgrading my CPU?
