Is my Ryzen 5 5600 and RTX 5060 build a good choice?

I'm building a PC with a Ryzen 5 5600 and an RTX 5060 for $850. I considered going for the AM5 platform, but it seemed too expensive. How does this combo stack up for performance and gaming longevity? I'm particularly looking to play some AAA titles like Cyberpunk, RDR2, and Ghost of Tsushima at 1080p. Will this build last me comfortably for the next 6-7 years?

That pricing breakdown seems fair. Depending on what parts you choose for RAM, storage, and cooling, you might even save some money!

Yeah, in my country, the RTX 5060 is around $400, which is why I had to stretch my budget a bit.

Enjoy your new PC! For 1080p gaming, that combo should definitely deliver a fun experience without any major issues. Just remember that as games evolve, you might want to keep an eye on future VRAM needs.

I appreciate it! 1080p gaming is my target, so I think I'm in a good spot.

Sounds like a solid budget build! Just keep your expectations realistic about upgrades. For now, this setup will work well for a few years, but you might hit limits later on if games get more demanding.

Honestly, I'm okay with that. I've been using a laptop that barely runs games, so this will already be a massive upgrade for me!

It sounds pretty good for 1080p gaming! As long as the performance meets your expectations, that's what matters most. Lots of people have had solid experiences with that combination.

I've seen some benchmarks and they look promising. Just waiting for my parts to arrive—it'll be nice to have a solid gaming setup!

I recently built the same setup. You can run most games at high or ultra settings smoothly. However, just be cautious of the 8GB VRAM as it can bottleneck some games ana. On the bright side, it should be fine for titles like Valorant and others you mentioned!

Thanks! I'm not too worried about ray tracing, and I feel good about the games I'll play.
