Is My Second-Hand PC Running Too Hot?

Hey everyone! I just bought a second-hand PC with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Windforce SFF OC GPU and an AMD Ryzen 5 9600X CPU. Here's the spec list: 32 GB DDR5 RAM, a Samsung 990 Pro 2TB SSD, and a Gigabyte 850W 80+ Gold PSU. The case is an AQIRYS Antlia which only has one fan on top and glass panels on the front and side. I paid around 6500 RON (about $1,400 USD) for it. I'm a bit worried about the temperatures I got during some stress tests. The GPU hit 81.9°C after 20 minutes in OCCT and 78°C after 13 minutes in FurMark, while the VRAM was at 64°C. The CPU reached 85°C during the Cinebench test. Is this normal? Did I get scammed?

You definitely didn't get scammed! The temperatures you mentioned for the RTX 5070 are actually within the safe range—its max temperature (TJmax) is 85°C. For the VRAM, it's well below the max of 105°C for JEDEC standards. Same goes for the Ryzen 5 9600X, which can handle up to 95°C. Just keep an eye on temps; lower is always better. Since you're using a small form factor case, it’s good to test how both components perform together to see the overall heat load. Adjusting the fan profile might help cool things down a bit more, but it could also make your setup louder. Just a trade-off to think about!

I feel you on that. Keeping the fans optimized can definitely help. Your case looks like it could use a couple more fans for better airflow, so adding two more on top could reduce your temps by a degree or two, which would be great!

Don't stress too much about the temps. While they're on the higher side, both components are still performing within their acceptable limits. If you're worried about longevity, consider improving your cooling setup—more fans will make a noticeable difference in temperature during heavy use.

Exactly! Just remember to monitor those temps especially during gaming or heavy tasks. If they stay within range, you're all good!
