As a student, I'm currently learning and using Neo4j, but I'm curious about its relevance in the industry moving forward. Will it still be widely used in 2025, or is it better to focus on other database technologies?

I have Neo4j at my job as well. It works great for specific graph-related tasks, but I wouldn't suggest it unless you've got a clear use case in mind.

As a student, I think it's vital to cover a broad range of topics, including SQL. While Neo4j and graph databases are important, don't neglect the fundamentals of relational databases.

Totally agree! Graph databases and technologies like Neo4j are becoming just as crucial as SQL for many applications nowadays.

Any chance to learn a new tech tool is beneficial! You should always aim to pick up something new every year, regardless of its popularity.

Even if Neo4j isn’t widely used in the future, the way it solves specific problems is fascinating. As students, we should learn to adapt and understand the core theories behind the tools we use, not just the tools themselves.

I'm actually using Neo4j for work in aerospace and it's proving really useful, especially for handling complex data relationships. It's definitely still relevant in certain fields.

Honestly, it might not matter if Neo4j eventually falls out of favor. What’s crucial is the knowledge you gain from it, like understanding graph data modeling and algorithms. These concepts are transferable to other databases, so focus on the fundamentals rather than just the tools.
