Hey everyone! I'm in the market for some new RAM and just noticed a significant price difference that's throwing me off. On Amazon, I found the Team T-Force Delta RGB DDR5 32GB (2x16GB) 6000MHz CL30 kit listed at $135.99 without any discount. Meanwhile, Newegg has the same RAM priced at $129.97 but claims a massive discount, listing an original price of $199.97 with 35% off. I'm wondering if I should be skeptical about Newegg's discounted price—is it just a marketing tactic with an inflated MSRP? Also, does the Amazon price reflect the true market value? Lastly, how reliable is TeamGroup/T-Force as a brand for gaming builds? I want to avoid getting tricked by a fake deal if Newegg's original price is unrealistic. Thanks for your help!

Honestly, just go for the Newegg deal since it's cheaper. Even if the original price isn't really $200, it's still a better price than Amazon. The average price for CL30 RGB RAM is usually around $115-$150 in Canada, and TeamGroup has a decent reputation, so you shouldn't worry too much about it!
The prices are pretty close, but if it's a direct Amazon listing, then that’s likely the real price. Newegg seems to be doing some marketing magic to make it look like a better deal. Just be cautious!
In the US, to claim a certain percentage off, a store has to have sold the item at the higher price before, even if it's just to themselves. So, some places might do that just to make their discounts seem legit. I'm not saying Newegg's doing anything shady, but it's smart to be cautious about their claims.
Most MSRPs nowadays are pretty questionable. If you can wait for sales, the prices often shift but eventually settle back around their starting point. Any DDR5-6000 CL30 kit should perform similarly, so just grab whatever's cheapest from a brand you know!
It’s probably not at that $199 price point, but the discount sure does look good to lure in buyers. However, the Amazon price is quite competitive; it seems like a safe middle ground, so don't overthink it too much!

Is TeamGroup a trusted brand? I'm new to this and building my first PC.
