Several users are reporting that Outlook search is not working in either Outlook on the web or the desktop client. The problem appears to be intermittent and seems to affect multiple organizations, particularly in the UK. Some people are seeing the same behavior as last week, even though the previous service advisory was marked as resolved. Is anyone else experiencing this, or found a workaround?

Only a small number of our users are affected so far, but the inconsistency makes it particularly frustrating. We haven’t found a reliable client-side fix yet, and the fact that search fails in both the web and desktop versions points toward a backend issue.
We’re seeing the same issue in the UK, although it’s intermittent. Search failures have been reported by users across several customer environments, so it may be a broader Exchange Online service problem rather than an isolated tenant issue.
Microsoft previously listed an advisory for this problem, but it was marked resolved while users were still reporting failures. It’s worth checking the service health dashboard and opening a support case through the admin center so Microsoft can correlate the reports and issue a new advisory if needed.

Agreed. Multiple support cases from affected tenants may help Microsoft identify that the issue is still occurring despite the earlier advisory being closed.
