Is Port1355 Worth Using or Just Overhyped?

I haven’t seen anybody using Port1355 in real scenarios, which usually says a lot more than any review could. In DevOps, if a tool is really effective, you’ll hear at least a few users talking about it, even if they have complaints. The silence around this one suggests it hasn’t really been tested out in production yet, so I’d be cautious and consider it more of a curiosity for now.

Honestly, I feel like this tool is trying to solve a problem that doesn’t really exist. It seems like it just adds unnecessary complexity to the process. You might be better off sticking with established web servers like Nginx or Apache, which can do everything you need without the extra hassle.

I’m not familiar with Port1355, but there are plenty of tools out there that offer similar functionalities. Tools like Laragon and Herd in the PHP ecosystem can create .test domains for your projects, making everything easier. Plus, they support HTTPS, which is great for features that require SSL. The fact that Port1355 needs to be run manually seems annoying.
