Is Switching from Cursor Pro to Claude Pro Worth It?

Hey everyone! I'm thinking about switching from my Cursor Pro Plan to the Claude Pro Plan, especially to try out Claude Code for my programming needs. However, I can't seem to find any clear info on the usage limits for the Claude Pro Plan. Is there a significant difference compared to the 500 requests per month that Cursor offers? Also, does the quality of output vary much between the two? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I found some helpful documentation that explains the limits better. Basically, with Claude Code, you get 50 sessions, each lasting up to 5 hours. You can work a lot within that time, and a session begins the moment you send your first message. Though if you exceed 50 sessions, you might experience some limitations, the real restriction is about managing your time effectively during those 5 hours. So, just be smart with your context switching!

I've used both Cursor and Claude Pro, and I get where you're coming from. I’m hesitant to switch to Claude Code myself just because I work in Visual Studio 2022. There's some concern about losing control over the codebase, and that’s really important to me. I’m not sure how well it integrates with my setup.

I tried using Code too, and I found it's pretty flexible. You can generate code through the terminal while still keeping your IDE open. If there’s any change you don't like, you can simply undo it.

I've been running Claude Code through WSL to modify and build a .NET 4 WPF application, and it's been working fine with MSBuild from Visual Studio 2022.
