Is that noise from my new PC a coil whine or a fan issue?

Hey everyone! I've just built a new PC featuring a 7800x3D, a Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX motherboard, and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. However, after booting it up, I started hearing a really annoying noise that's definitely not coming from the GPU or PSU. I'm starting to wonder if it's coming from the CPU cooler or maybe even the motherboard. Could anyone help me figure out what's going on? I edited my post to mention that the sound seems to be from one of the CPU cooler's fans. Any idea what I can do?

That definitely sounds like a fan defect. It’s worth checking out further!

I appreciate it! I checked the edit and it does seem like it’s coming from the fan.

Honestly, it sounds more like a fan issue to me. Is the noise persistent or only happening under load?

I assume it’s from a fan since it gets louder when under load.

If the noise gets worse when the PC is under load, it might be coil whine. But it could also be a fan issue. Try stopping each fan one by one with your finger and see if the noise goes away. Typically, the GPU or PSU are the usual culprits, but it's rare for it to be anything else. If you find the source, you could even try gluing the coil to stop it from vibrating, but that's a bit advanced.

Check the edit I made; it comes from a fan.
