Hey everyone! I'm in the market for a new GPU and I'm torn between the 5070 and the 5070 Ti. The prices are 530€ for the 5070 and 780€ for the 5070 Ti, which means about a 250€ difference. I'm not really into single-player games and won't push the graphics settings to the max, but I'm a bit concerned about future-proofing, especially with the 12GB VRAM on the 5070. Should I just stick with the 5070 or is it worth spending more for the Ti? Also, do you think I should buy now or wait a couple of months? Thanks!

Whether it's "worth it" really depends on your needs. The 12GB version of the 5070 isn't the best value overall. If CUDA is essential for you, I'd advise skipping the 5070 and opting for the Ti while it's still relatively affordable. With upcoming RAM shortages, prices for GPUs could spike soon, so getting a good deal while you can is key.
Definitely felt a significant upgrade going from a 5070 to a 5070 Ti. The Ti offers noticeable improvements, especially in newer AAA titles at 1440p, where the 12GB on the 5070 can feel lacking. It's worth the investment if you want better performance in the long haul.
If you can swing it, go for the Ti; otherwise, the 5070 is still great. The Ti's extra VRAM is particularly beneficial if you're diving into ultra 4K gaming or ray tracing. But remember, tech evolves fast, so nothing really offers true future-proofing unless you get a top-tier model like the 5090. Both cards support GDDR7 and DLSS4, so they’re pretty future-ready as is!
The 5070 Ti has around 40% more cores than the 5070, which can be a game changer depending on what you're using it for. If you’re not planning on demanding too much from it, the 5070 should work fine.
I faced a similar dilemma and ended up swapping my 5070 for the 5070 Ti, which was a game changer for me. If your budget allows, I’d recommend going for the Ti—you won’t regret it! But if you're looking to save, the 5070 is still a solid choice. Keep in mind that the 12GB VRAM on the 5070 should be fine for 1440p gaming for a few years, but can struggle at 4K.

Thanks! I'm really concerned about longevity, so it's reassuring to hear 12GB is decent for now. I just don’t want to find myself behind the curve too soon.
