Is the LG WH16NS40 Blu-Ray Drive Worth It?

I've been on the lookout for a Blu-Ray drive to install in my PC, and I found one that's caught my eye—the LG WH16NS40 16x Internal Blu-Ray Rewriter available at Microcenter. However, the reviews are all over the place. Some users say it works perfectly fine, while others report it failing after just a few months of use. Has anyone here tried this drive? I'd appreciate your insights or experiences!

I installed the Asus BW-16D1HT in my desktop, and it's pretty great! It has LibreDrive support, so I can flash custom firmware and rip both Blu-Rays and 4K Blu-Rays. Plus, it works well with Linux, which is a bonus for me!

How long have you had it for? Just curious since I've heard that many Blu-Ray drives tend to fail after about a year.
