I'm ready to upgrade my old computer and I'm debating whether to spend an extra $100 on the Ryzen 7 9800X3D over the 7800X3D. My gaming setup includes a 5070 Ti, and I mainly play demanding games like Cyberpunk, Baldur's Gate 3, and Clair Obscur. Any thoughts on whether that price difference is worth it for gaming performance? I'd love to hear your feedback!

Make sure to check benchmarks for the games you plan to play. In my opinion, it's not worth the extra $100. Save that cash for something else!
I’d say the 9800X3D offers about 10% more performance and runs cooler. If you can easily spare the $100, then go for it, but if not, the 7800X3D is still an awesome choice.
Honestly, I don’t think the $100 difference is worth it. The 9800X3D is only slightly faster than the 7800X3D. If you’re focused on gaming, the 7800X3D should serve you well with your 5070 Ti.
Agreed! I’ve got the 7800X3D with a 5090 and it performs great. No regrets here!
In my experience, the 7800X3D is just a better value overall. If you find it for around $315 with free shipping, that’s hard to beat!
What resolution and refresh rate are you gaming at? If it’s 4K or 1440p ultrawide, the GPU will likely hold you back from noticing any difference between the two.
Good point! For standard 1440p, you might see a slight difference, mainly in BG3, but it doesn’t need super high frame rates, so capping the frame rate could be more beneficial.

Yep, don’t rely on UserBenchmark. Stick to official benchmarks for a clearer picture.
